Mixing electronics with the sounds of the Portuguese guitar might seem odd at first but Portuguese project M-PeX has been mastering it for a couple of years with great public acclaim. His latest release is in the shape of an EP titled Ignis, and brings us 5 tracks with a scent of dubstep surrounding the theme of the ancient theory of the platonic solids. This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
