Chiptune EEG-based sonification recorded during sleep. All electronic sounds are MIDI note sequences coded from sleep EEG signals. Electronic sections within tracks are sonified excerpts of sleep EEG from different stages. In a few cases, in a complementary and artistic fashion, arpeggios were added to MIDI notes. The instruments and the octaves in scales were also artistically chosen, as well as beats per minute (BPM). The portuguese guitar was recorded over the EEG-MIDI sonification. This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
